L’Usine Poët-Laval

Very interesting third place, the Usine is a renovated former pottery factory that mixes art, crafts, gallery and shops including a thrift store. The cultural programming and exhibitions are of great quality and events are often held there. The exhibition gallery is lined with workshops within beautiful architecture. It is 38 minutes from Nyons, right next to Dieulefit!

See vultures

Vultures inhabited the Baronnies until their disappearance a century ago. The Vautours en Baronnies association reintroduced them in 1987. This successful reintroduction makes it possible to observe these fascinating animals in an incredible site (avoid in case of high heat as there is little shade). In Saint May, 30 minutes from Nyons, follow the "Vautours" signs and get as close to them as possible. The association also organizes fascinating year-round field outings with an ornithologist. The Vultures House in Rémuzat has free access and is open every day in July and August. See their schedule and activities:
